VNA Scholarship Information

Education is a priority for our Vue families.  A quality education is the cornerstone of improving the lives of our families and communities. The Vue National Association is hoping to provide several scholarships to be awarded next summer to Vue students to support their education. 

Application Process

Four scholarships will be given in 2025. Applications will be reviewed by an impartial selective committee and award scholarships based on established criteria. The amount of each scholarship is $1000 for 2025. Two scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate and two for graduate students.

The Minimum Requirements

1. Be a member of the Vue Family (niam, txiv, tub, ntxhais – tsis tau yuav txiv, or nyab Hmoob Vwj)
2. Currently live in the United States
3. Currently enrolled in 2-4 year college/university with a minimum of 1 completed semester, or in graduate school at the time of application.
4. Complete the attached application and email to info@vuenational.org, Attention to Choua Vu. Deadline by 11:59PM Central on 6/1/2025. 
5. Attach two (2) letters of recommendation to the application from someone not related to you.
6. Attach an official transcript to the application form showing cumulative GPA (minimum GPA: 2.5)
7. Once you have been selected to receive a scholarship, you must submit proof from the registrar’s office stating that you are currently enrolled as a student in order for VNA to release the scholarship award to you.
8. If selected, the recipient must stay in contact with VNA.
9. Recipients must update VNA about their current education and/or career status by August 1, 2026.
10. Attach a copy of your Identification card (ID)
11. Write an essay responding to the following questions (minimum 1 page):
    • Tell VNA about yourself.
    • Why do you need this scholarship? How can it benefit you?
    • What does Education mean to you?
    • What can you do to help promote the importance of education to future Vue generations?

Awards Ceremony

The scholarships will be awarded at the Vue Unity Conference held in MN on August 2^nd, 2025 at the Banquets of Minnesota, 6310 Hwy 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432. Scholarships winners are encouraged to attend this conference. If not able to attend, a check will be mailed to the recipient after the conference.
